Burberry Her Elixir review: berries, cherry and longevity

Her Elixir is dark fruit done properly: cherry and blackcurrant with enough weight underneath to survive an evening.

The notes

Blackcurrant, cherry and berries at the top, jasmine and violet in the heart, vanilla, patchouli and musk at the base.

Sweet fragrances usually collapse after three hours. This one has patchouli underneath holding the door.

Performance

Seven hours from two dabs with strong projection early. It is sweeter in the oil than in the spray, so one dab is often enough.

Who it suits

Evenings, dates, anyone who already likes gourmand and fruity fragrances and wants something less obvious than vanilla.

Verdict

The best value sweet bottle we carry at 10ml. If you want cleaner sweetness, Bianco Latte is the alternative.
